Practice the job before you have the job

JobSim is a workplace simulation. You get a team, an inbox, real tasks and honest feedback - in a place where getting it wrong costs you nothing.

What a simulation actually is

Not a course, and not a quiz. You join a working company as a new hire and do the job:

A team that talks to you

HR welcomes you, your team lead briefs you on the project, and colleagues message you first, ask for your opinion and answer your questions.

A real working day

Clock in, introduce yourself to the team, join the 11:00 standup, and keep up with what lands through the day. Turning up is part of the job.

Work you actually hand in

Decisions, emails, code or pseudocode, diagrams, tables, notes and voice notes - each task asks for the kind of answer the job does.

Voices, not just text

Colleagues read their briefs aloud and give their standup updates out loud, and you can speak your answers and have them written out.

Honest reviews

The colleague who set the work reviews it: praise, accepted with notes, or sent back to revisit. Everything lands on your Feedback page.

A result you can show

Finish with a summary scored out of 100 and a verifiable credential you can add to LinkedIn.

How it works

  1. Tell us where you are

A short wizard: the role you want, your experience, skills and how you like to work. Rough answers are fine.

  2. Build your simulation

Pick a length, from one compressed hour to three real workdays, and how strict the reviewer is. We build the company, the project and the team around you.

  3. Do the job

Clock in, meet the team, join the standup, and work through the day: project tasks, colleagues asking for help, the odd interruption, and a status update to close.

  4. Get your result

A short final assessment, then a summary of how you did in every area, with the feedback behind it and a credential at the end.

Two ways in

On your own

Sign up free, build a personal simulation for the role you want, or join a shared one that is already running.

Through an organization

Employers, schools and training providers set up simulations, invite candidates, and get a readiness report for each person.

What we're straight about

  • Your colleagues are AI, not people. They hold a role, a personality and a memory of your conversations, but there is nobody on the other end. Don't put real sensitive information into a simulation.
  • Your credential shows you completed a simulation, nothing more. Reviews and scores are there to help you improve. They are not a professional qualification, and not a hiring decision.
  • Behaviour counts. Abuse, spam or trying to manipulate the AI colleagues gets a warning from HR, and repeated warnings end the simulation.
  • Generated content can be wrong. AI colleagues occasionally state things confidently and incorrectly. Treat what they say as part of the exercise, not as professional advice.
  • If an organization set up your simulation, they can see your work. That is the point of it - but you should know it going in. See who can see your activity.

What it runs on

Large language models generate your company, your colleagues, their replies and their reviews. Speech models give colleagues their voices and turn yours into text, and real-time voice powers the onboarding call and Quick Help. Each simulation is its own world, and each organization's data is kept isolated from every other organization's. The Privacy Policy names what we collect and who processes it.
